Passing this along.

The video is black for my presentation, as I had to run it over my phone's hotspot so that I could ssh out to my cloud servers.

Cybersecurity Forum - Homegrown Security Tools – A Panel & Audience Discussion (March 23rd, after work)
RSVP - https://www.rbtc.tech/event/homegrown-security-tools-a-panel-audience-discussion/
Where: <https://goo.gl/maps/sN6QsToQ4N3CkieJ9> (in the CRC business park)

Details:
Do you have a favorite security script or open-source security tool you’ve integrated in a unique way on your own network or systems? It could be anything from automated network scans & baselining to traffic anomaly detection, host-based intrusion detection/prevention, or honeypots & tarpits. Anything is fair game. It can use vendor-specific solutions (like R5/BigIP, Cisco or Fortinet, etc), all open source tools, or a mashup of various tidbits. The only thing is, it should be super useful.. and should not equate to a product sales pitch. Join the RBTC’s CyberSecurity forum for a hybrid panel and audience discussion around the best homegrown security tools. Join the convo or come to hear new ideas, tips, and tricks. Oh.. and food w/adult beverages are included!
Members are free (still RSVP above).. students are $5.. non-members $15.

If you're interested in presenting some of your own tools.. contact me (tweeks at VirginiaCyberRange.org<mailto:tweeks at virginiacyberrange.org>).
