Title: SmarterRoads Hackathon
The Virginia Department of Transportation presents the two-day SmarterRoads  
Hackathon on Friday, August 17, 2018 and Saturday, August 18, 2018 at CoLab  
Roanoke.

The hackathon features cash prizes and more!

We are looking for a diverse group of developers, planners, futurists, big  
data lovers and problem solvers and even those simply interested in  
checking things out and learning about big data to help address Virginia’s  
greatest transportation needs through the use of open data sets including  
VDOT’s SmarterRoads data portal. Your expertise is the key.

If you plan to attend, please register!

To be considered for a prize you must be registered as a hacker/idea jammer  
and be 18 years old or over. Participants under 18 will be allowed to  
participate with teacher and parent consent.

At least one team member must be present for the kick-off event and  
presentations. In-person team participation is strongly encouraged. Each  
team member must register for the event. Prizes are expected to be split  
fairly among team members.
